It is recommended to copy all support files (fonts, linetypes, templates) and also if necessary the file with description of ACAD.PGP command aliases etc, from COMMON_FILES\ACAD_SUPPORT_FILES folder to one of PROGRAMS folder (or folders assigned by AutoCAD for these types of files). Or assign AutoCAD support file search path for this folder.

Messages language setting

Program messages can be output in 2 languages, Russian (default) and English.

Message language setting can be done by Settings option of GEOL_MIS program (for KAI-2001 applications in files application_name.SET), or in file automatically executed during opening a drawing (for example, ACAD.LSP, ACADDOC.LSP, menu_name.MNL). Example of LISP code see in files menu_name.MNL.

In attached menu_name.MNL files launched automatically prior to loading menu with same name, is carried out language setting depending on SYSCODEPAGE system variable. If SYSCODEPAGE value is equal to УANSI_1251Ф (Russian table of codes), Russian language of messages is set automatically, while other code tables will set English language.

Note: Instead of Russian language of messages it is possible set another language. It is necessary to translate Russian messages in GEOL_MES.LSP, in corresponding application_name.SET files and in DCL files.

Commands language (English or Russian) setting is carried out only by Settings option of GEOL_MIS program (default is English language). For KAI-2001 application commands language id English only.

Program parameters setting

Program parameters setting is carried out by Settings option of GEOL_MIS program. Also here are carried out settings of fields delimiter type for text data files (default is comma), values output accuracy etc (see chapter COMMON PARAMETERS).

Notes:
Х Available are the following field delimiters: comma, semicolon, space, tabulator (tab), dollar sign $, number sign #.
Х File extensions can be the following: CSV, TXT, PRN, DAT, LOG, INF, WRI, GDH and no extension.

In Windows operating system (Control panel, Regional and Language Options, Numbers tab) you should assign full point as decimal symbol and comma as list separator.

Note: If you assign another field delimiters (Settings option of GEOL_MIS program), you should correct Windows settings also.

Program parameters setting by default for KAI-2001 application is carried out in application_name.SET files.

All FAS, LSP, BMP, MNU, SET and DCL files must be located in assigned support file search path.

Dialog boxes setting

If invoking parameter dialogue box makes AutoCAD display an error about insufficient screen size for parameters dialog box display, screen resolution in pixels should be increased or screen fonts size should be decreased (see documentation on Windows operating system). After these changes AutoCAD needs to be restarted.

Screen resolution must be 1024х768 and more.

Menu setting

In current menu file GEOL_DH_ENG.MNS and/or KAI_ENG.MNS, created automatically by AutoCAD after loading MNU menu templates, you can correct names of items, sections and other parameters, make comments out of unnecessary lines (by two slashes // in the beginning of line). It is not recommended to alter MNU templates.

For KAI menu some system applications (SYSTEMS section) and menu sections for block operations (FORMATS and STAMPS sections and subsequent ones) can be unavailable if these applications have not been found or neither of two drawings of given menu section can be found. List of DWG files to be checked is included in a function in KAI.MNL file.

Note: Asterisk (*) before KAI menu item means presence of icon for it. Asterisk (*) after utility name means that application has no help file (obsolete applications and functions).

Hotkey and command aliases setting

Suggested settings for ***ACCELERATORS section of main AutoCAD menu ACAD.MNS and AutoCAD command aliases by KAI standars worked out in 12 years of work in AutoCAD is listed in KAI_ACAD_PGP.DOC file (ACAD_SUPPORT_FILES folder), recommended for printing and having at hand.

For running external commands and AutoCAD command aliases see ACAD.PGP file which reiterates standard AutoCAD file with added changes in the end of file sections (i.e. standard command aliases are redefined or new aliases are added).
Note: For AutoCAD 16 need to rename ACAD_2004.PGP to ACAD.PGP.

To set up AutoCAD by given standard it is necessary to:
Х Move attached ACAD.PGP file to folder higher that Acad SUPPORT folder (including standard ACAD.PGP file), i.e. assign program file search path higher than AutoCAD SUPPORT folder.
Х ***ACCELERATORS section in AutoCAD main menu ACAD.MNS (AutoCAD Support folder) can be exchanged with section listed in KAI_ACAD_ACCELER.MN text file. Boxes of Windows standard behavior of User preferences tab (Options command) must be checked. Standard section's settings are saved in ACAD.MNU file in AutoCAD Support folder.
Х Description of settings by KAI standard for ***ACCELERATORS section in standard AutoCAD menu ACAD.MNS and AutoCAD command aliases for ACAD.PGP file is listed in KAI_ACAD_PGP.DOC file.
Note: Hot keys for Acad 2006-2011 are (re-)set by loading menu KAI_2006_ACCELER_KEYS.MNU by УmenuloadФ command, to return to original settings Ц unload this menu.

Note: User defines whether to use attached ACAD.PGP file.

Programs launch

GEOL_DH and KAI-2001 applications are launched by selecting corresponding menu item or icon, at that time automatic program loading and execution occur. Also the program can be invoked by typing program name in command prompt, typing command alias or using hotkeys (provided it had already been launched previously through menu or icon, or was preliminarily loaded by means of AutoCAD, for instance, by Appload command or by other methods).

Often used KAI-2001 application with sort names are loading automatically (in application_name.MNL).

Programs update

To update versions of programs by hand you should copy new program files (exchanging old ones) to corresponding folder, remove read-only attribute from program files and, as a rule, reload menu.

New name of GEOL_DH layers and blocks

After version 7.75 slightly changed names of layers and blocks. New layer names were assigned reasoning from necessity: to enter filter immediately by layer groups; to show created later objects closer to the beginning of layers list; to move other layers (with objects without information) to the end of layers list, to shorten as possible name lengths.

Renaming of previously created layers and blocks is performed automatically during first launch of any of GEOL_DH utilities, after that for information is displayed message about number of renamed layers and blocks. It is recommended after that to remove by PURGE command all unused layers and blocks beginning with GDH_.

Notes:
Х Filter by loaded from files traces and calculated summary intervals, and also their annotations will look like СGDH4*,GDH3*Т.
Х ATTEMTION! Before inserting objects from another drawing, created with 7.7 or earlier vertion, you should make sure both drawings have undergone the procedure of layers and blocks renaming.

Compatibility

During loading and execution of programs of other developers there is, though very small, chance of program incompatibility (using same functions, variable names).
In this case programs should be configured in separate profile (see AutoCAD Options command, Profiles tab).

Deinstallation

In order to deinstall the program, it is enough to unload menu (Menuload command) and remove references to the programТs folders (File tab, Options command) and then remove all files of the program from disk.
